Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a full-time Cleaner to join our healthcare cleaning teams. The role is 35 hours per week with a pattern of 5 days in a 7-day week, delivering high standards of hygiene for clients and patients in healthcare settings.

The successful candidate will clean and sanitise environments, handle routine duties, and maintain stock of cleaning supplies. Experience is welcome but not essential, and flexibility is valued to support busy NHS trust

• Experience in cleaning is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise environments to high standards.
• Dust, sweep, mop and vacuum designated areas.
• Ensure surfaces and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Replace and restock cleaning supplies and respond to spills promptly.
• Dispose of waste and maintain hygienic workplaces.

We're currently recruiting a full time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Healthcare, contracted to 35 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. £12.92 per hour plus £2.96 Higher Cost Area Allowance

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
