Job summary

Medirest is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Healthcare, contracted to 22 hours per week. You will help deliver on our promise to create the best and brightest experiences for clients and customers across NHS Trusts and private hospitals.

You will work with our cleaning teams to maintain hygienic environments, undertake dusting, sweeping, mopping and sanitising, and respond quickly to spillages. This hands-on role requires flexibility and reliability.

Qualifications

• Organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns and working hours.
• Experience in cleaning roles is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep environments safe and hygienic for clients and customers.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensure surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, such as mopping spills quickly and efficiently.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our Ideal Cleaner Will

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
