Job summary

ABM is seeking a part-time cleaner for Holyrood Park House in Edinburgh. The role involves cleaning premises, including kitchens and offices, with training provided for deep cleans and equipment use.

You will ensure safety, carry out routine disinfecting, and respond to spillages while delivering excellent customer service alongside client staff.

Overview of job description

Cleaning premises for prestigious Client, includes kitchens, carpets and any surrounding areas.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Hoovering/mopping, cleaning offices and kitchens
• Carrying out deep cleans as required and using vacuums and small scrubber drier – training provided
• Ensuring premises are safe and disinfected regularly
• Removing waste, replenishing consumables and supplies and attending reactive jobs (spillages)
• Customer Service while working along Client and Client’s staff

Person specification

• Must be well presented and good communicator
• Must have a can‑do attitude and polite and approachable demeanour
• Hardworking and proactive, good timekeeping and attendance record
• Previous cleaning experience preferred with focus on unsupervised work and prioritising workload
• Strong customer service/care and leadership skills
• Problem solving and time management skills desired
• Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative
• Flexible and proactive attitude essential
• Understanding & knowledge of health and safety policies
• Needs to represent ABM values on site by being presentable, uniformed, and helpful at all times, willing to go the extra mile
• Always follow Company Policies and procedures
• Ensure that the work environment and equipment are safe and well maintained
• Identify and correct hazardous conditions
