Protocol Education is recruiting Classroom Supervisors to support secondary schools across Hartlepool and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are confident, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed.

This unqualified role involves stepping into lessons when teachers are absent to keep students focused on pre-set work, emphasizing classroom management over formal teaching. Prior experience with children or young people is welcome.

Qualifications

• This is an unqualified position; no QTS or PGCE required.
• Experience in roles with children/young people is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes with work provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and school expectations.
• Encourage student engagement and focus during lessons.
• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and professionally.
• Support students in completing assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of learning.
