Job summary

Education World Ltd in Newcastle is seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the area. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and help students stay on task.

No formal teaching qualification is required; strong communication and the ability to lead a classroom are key. This role is ideal for graduates or those with experience working with young people.

Qualifications

• UK experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.).
• Strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management.
• Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Commitment to supporting students' learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with their learning and ensure work is completed.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson.
