Job summary

Kingfield Primary School is seeking a dedicated support assistant to provide additional academic and emotional support for our pupils. The role involves one-to-one and small group work, both in and out of the classroom, plus lunchtime supervision.

You will work closely with the class teacher, Inclusion Leader and SENCO, contributing to a positive learning environment and the overall school life. The role runs Monday to Friday during school hours, with a focus on nurturing and developing each

Responsibilities

  • Provide additional academic and emotional support for children.
  • Work one-to-one, paired or small group sessions in or out of the classroom.
  • Assist during general classroom activities and lunchtimes.
  • Collaborate with class teacher, Inclusion Leader and SENCO to support pupils.

Job description

Working closely with and supported by the class teacher and and experienced Inclusion Leader and SENCO, your role will provide additional academic and emotional support for our children. The work may include a mixture of one to one and paired or small group work, both in and out of the classroom setting, general classroom support duties and lunchtime supervision.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 15:00.

For this post, applicants must demonstrate a positive, patient, and nurturing approach towards children, be confident, willing to work one to one and deal with challenging situations.
