Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Bracknell & Wokingham is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping develop confidence and positive learning behaviours.

You will assist with literacy and numeracy, monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff, while following safeguarding and health and safety procedures. This full-time, term-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, with salary paid per day in line with experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school, childcare, youth work or SEND is advantageous.
• All applicants require suitable qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Support children with additional learning needs (SEND).
• Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development as required.
• Follow safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.
