Job Opportunity: SEN Classroom Assistant in Swindon

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an SEN Classroom Assistant at a Special Needs School in Swindon. The school is looking for a caring, proactive, and friendly individual who can connect with and support vulnerable children.

The school provides education for children aged 3 to 16 with various disabilities, including Autism, communication challenges, social interaction difficulties, and language delays. The students need positive role models in the classroom to support their learning, social development, independence, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Encourage students to engage and socialise appropriately with peers
  2. Build students’ confidence, self-esteem, and self-belief
  3. Promote positive behaviours through effective behaviour management strategies
  4. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during activities
  5. Participate in relevant SEN training provided by the school
Candidate Requirements:

To succeed as an SEN Classroom Assistant, you should be determined, resilient, and adaptable, tailoring your approach to meet each child's needs.
