Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the Newcastle area. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher and help maintain a positive learning environment.

No formal teaching qualification is required; strong communication and rapport with students are essential. UK experience with young people is valued, with flexible, part-time or full-time options available.

Qualifications

• No formal teaching qualification is required.
• Experience with young people or in education settings preferred.
• UK experience with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work) desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students with their learning and ensure work is completed
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson
