Job summary

Lift Kingswood is seeking a Cover Supervisor to ensure learning continues when teachers are away. You will support classes, keep the environment calm, and help students stay focused across all subjects.

You don't need to be a qualified teacher, but GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 4+ are required. A levels or a degree are welcomed, and prior experience with youths or schools is a plus.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 4 or above are required.
• A levels or a degree are welcomed.
• Experience with or interest in education, youth work, or school settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the teacher's absence.
• Keep students on task and ensure behaviour expectations are followed.
• Manage the classroom to support positive learning and environment.
• Provide feedback to the teacher on lesson progress and issues.
• Supervise students during non-class times (registration, breaks, exams).
• Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with administrative tasks or learning support when cover is not required.
