Qualifications

• Experience working with young people
• Clear communication and the confidence to manage a classroom
• No Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
• A degree or education qualification can be useful but isn't essential for every vacancy

Responsibilities

• Explaining the set tasks and checking pupils understand instructions
• Maintaining a calm, productive classroom
• Managing behaviour in line with the school's policy
• Encouraging participation and helping pupils stay on task
• Taking registers and following school procedures
• Collecting completed work and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Reporting safeguarding or welfare concerns promptly
