Job summary

Oasis Academy MediaCityUK in Salford is seeking a passionate Cover Supervisor to join our term-time team. This full-time role, with five training days, delivers ready-to-use lessons across a range of year groups and subjects, maintaining a calm, engaging classroom even when plans change.

You will support student progress through confident instruction, de-escalation where needed, and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are required with a Level 3 NQF qualification.
• Experience in de-escalation techniques and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students while promoting progress.
• Calm, authoritative communication style and strong classroom management.

Cover Supervisor – Full time, Term Time only, plus 5 days training

SALARY: SCP9 – SCP 13 (£27,254 - £29,064 Full time equivalent)

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Cover Supervisor. At Oasis Academy MediaCity, we’re looking for someone who can take charge at short notice, engage students, and make sure lessons run smoothly—even when plans change. The role:

What We’re Looking For

• A calm, authoritative communication style and strong classroom management skills
• Organisational skills, adaptability, and resilience in the face of challenges
• Ideally, experience in a care or pastoral role
• Above all –to be reliable and able to motivate our students
