Year 2 Teacher –Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £120 – £150 per day (dependent on experience)
An inclusive and supportive primary school in Preston is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team on a full-time basis from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Key Stage 1 practitioner to take ownership of a well-behaved, eager-to-learn Year 2 class. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and purposeful lessons, supporting children in their SATs year, and helping them build strong foundations for their transition to Key Stage 2. The school offers a collaborative team environment and excellent support for planning and assessment.
Essential Requirements:
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply – structured support and mentoring will be provided.
Pay Information:
The daily pay rate is between £120 and £150, based on experience. This rate applies for the initial 12-week period.
About Agency Worker Regulations (AWR):
After 12 weeks in the same role, Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) will take effect. This ensures agency staff are entitled to the same pay and working conditions as teachers employed directly by the school. This includes equal pay, access to internal opportunities, and comparable working terms, promoting fairness and consistency across the workforce.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
