A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Preston is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with experience teaching within Key Stage 1 – ideally with a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, phonics delivery, and early assessment frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that support pupil progress and development. You’ll be supported by a welcoming SLT and have access to experienced Teaching Assistants in class.
ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are encouraged to apply – full support and mentoring can be provided for the right candidate.
Pay Information:
The pay rate for this position is between £120 and £150 per day, depending on your level of experience. This rate applies for the first 12 weeks of the booking.
About Agency Worker Regulations (AWR):
After 12 weeks in the same role, Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) will apply. This means you will be entitled to the same pay and working conditions as a teacher employed directly by the school. This includes parity in pay, access to internal vacancies, and comparable working hours and responsibilities. AWR is designed to ensure fairness and equality for agency staff undertaking longer-term roles within schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
