Job summary

Priestley Primary School in England is seeking an experienced, ambitious teacher to lead Maths across the school, driving improvements in teaching and learning. You will set high expectations, model best practice and support colleagues to raise attainment in mathematics across all year groups.

This role requires a passionate advocate for inclusive education, capable of sustaining change and delivering high‑quality maths provision.

All about the role:

We would like an experienced, dynamic and ambitious teacher to join our team and lead the core subject of Maths, across the school.

Key Responsibilities in addition to those of a class teacher:

  • Develop Maths teaching across the school
  • Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement
  • Support and develop the teaching practice of colleagues
  • Monitor and evaluate curriculum impact and pupil progress
  • Contribute to whole school strategic planning and improvement
  • Model outstanding classroom practice and professional conduct
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the Senior Leadership Team to drive school priorities and initiatives.
About You:
  • A qualified primary teacher with significant experience
  • A passion for raising standards for all pupils, through the effective pedagogy of inclusive education
  • Demonstrable experience of raising school standards and leading curriculum development
  • Suitably skilled and resilient to drive school improvement and managing sustainable change.
