Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Class Teacher at a specialist SEND school in Bristol to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism/ASD, ADHD and Attachment Disorder.

The role is full-time and permanent, starting September, with a strong emphasis on collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support pupils’ academic, social and personal development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS.
• Proven SEND experience working with children and young people.
• Knowledge of Autism/ASD, ADHD, SLD and Attachment Disorder.
• Strong behaviour management and communication in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SLD/ASD/ADHD.
• Support academic progress, independence and personal development.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet pupil needs.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and classroom climate.

Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 plus SEND Allowance of £2,787 - £5,497

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bristol to recruit a Class Teacher. The school provides a supportive and nurturing learning environment for pupils with a range of complex additional needs, with an experienced multidisciplinary team working together to help every pupil achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Class Teacher from September. The successful Class Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, Autism / ASD, ADHD and Attachment Disorder, adapting teaching to individual needs while supporting academic progress, independence and personal development.

The successful Class Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS.


• Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND.


• Knowledge and understanding of Autism / ASD, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Attachment Disorder.


• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.


• Excellent communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• A resilient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching.
