Job summary

St. John's CE Primary Academy is seeking a caring and committed Primary Class Teacher to lead learning, nurture wellbeing and foster a love of learning within a supportive, inclusive school community.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, work closely with teaching assistants and the SENDCo, and contribute to curriculum development while upholding the academy's values and flexible working ethos.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary Class Teacher to join St John's CE Primary Academy, guided by the mission "Children First; in the footsteps of St Chad." As a class teacher, you will take responsibility for the learning, progress and wellbeing of your pupils, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and aspiration. You will set high expectations for all learners and ensure teaching is inclusive and responsive to individual needs, so every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Strong relationships underpin effective learning at St Johns C of E Academy . You will foster a calm, respectful and purposeful classroom environment built on trust and harmony, where pupils feel safe, valued and confident to participate fully in their learning. Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENDCo, and other professionals, you will demonstrate dedication to removing barriers to learning and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
