Job summary

Knypersley First School, Newpool Road, Knypersley, ST8 6NN, is seeking a full-time Year 2 class teacher for maternity cover from January 2027 to 18 July 2027. Salary is £32,916 on the ECT M1 scale, subject to Teachers Pay and Conditions.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational classroom practitioner, an ECT, and able to deliver an enriched, inclusive curriculum. They will work flexibly as part of a team to ensure high outcomes for all pupils. Visits to the school are encouraged.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, maternity cover (two terms until July 27) Year 2 class teacher who will able to make a significant contribution to our happy and forward-thinking school. This will be a maternity cover starting January 2027 and ending on 18/07/2027.

The successful candidate will:

Be first and foremost an excellent and inspirational classroom practitioner

Be an ECT

Value the delivery of an enriched, progressive and broad curriculum

Have placement experience of working in Key Stage 1

Be able to work flexibly and supportively as part of a team.

Demonstrate an energy and understanding which ensures all children in their care achieve the very highest outcomes both personally and academically.

Be committed to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
