Job summary

Highfield Littleport Academy in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to cover maternity leave on a temporary basis. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the needs of pupils with EHCPs.
  • Assess, record and report on pupils' progress for reviews and IEPs.
  • Create a safe, well-managed learning environment promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with support staff, teachers, families and external professionals.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide professional learning.

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
Salary: MPS - UPS £32,916 - £51,048 (Plus SEN Allowance - £5,479 gross per annum)

We are looking for a dedicated Class Teacher to join Highfield Littleport Academy on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. Highfield Littleport is a special school based in Littleport supporting children and young people aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of additional needs. This role sits at the heart of our work: creating engaging, well-planned learning that meets pupils where they are and helps them grow in confidence, independence and achievement. Working as part of a close-knit, professional team, the Class Teacher plays a key role in shaping a safe, purposeful classroom culture, building strong relationships with families and colleagues, and contributing to continual improvement across the school. Highfield Littleport Academy is a Good school with a strong commitment to inclusion, care and high expectations, backed by the wider support and collaboration of Active Learning Trust.
