Connex Education is working with a well-regarded and inclusive primary school in the Chelmsford area to recruit a passionate and committed KS1 or KS2 Class Teacher for a long-term supply role, starting in September 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
• Support behaviour for learning and promote high expectations
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
• Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities

Assignment Details

• Full-time role, Monday to Friday (Term time only)
• Long-term supply for the full academic year, with the potential for extension or permanent opportunity

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
• Strong understanding of effective classroom management and inclusive practices
• A flexible, positive, and proactive approach
• A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex
