We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2025. The position is on LGA Pay Scale 5, Point 13-17, with a full-time equivalent salary of £28,163 - £30,060. The actual pro-rata salary is £23,976 - £24,975 per annum (Pay Award Pending). The hours of work are 33.75 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 3.30pm (term time only, paid for 47.36 weeks per year). The starting salary for the successful candidate is £23,976 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and confident, supervising students during short-term teacher absences to ensure they follow pre-prepared lessons. Responsibilities include maintaining order, keeping students on task, responding to questions, assisting with activities, and supporting learning. The role involves working independently or as part of a team under the guidance of the Assistant Head and Cover Officer. Additional duties include supervising students during after-school enrichment clubs, conducting academic mentoring, supporting administrative tasks, and contributing to the school community.
