Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a meticulous and experienced Class 3 Building Control Surveyor to join a dedicated team. This contract position offers the opportunity to influence building standards within one of the UK’s most prestigious councils.

You will conduct detailed inspections, manage projects to Class 3H/3G standards, and produce clear reports for stakeholders. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in building control and knowledge of building regulations.
• Proficiency with Class 3H and Class 3G standards.
• Strong analytical and assessment skills for evaluating compliance and identifying issues.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of building works to ensure compliance with building regulations.
• Manage projects and ensure adherence to Class 3H and Class 3G standards.
• Provide clear, detailed reports on inspections and compliance findings.
• Liaise with architects, builders and developers to provide expert advice and guidance.
• Review and approve building plans and specifications.
• Ensure all construction work meets safety, structural and other relevant standards.
• Investigate and resolve building control issues or complaints.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings and actions taken.
