Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Class 2 Sweeper Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire. The role involves operating road sweepers and performing light manual tasks to keep roads clean and safe.

The ideal candidate holds a Class 2 (C) licence with Driver CPC and Tachograph cards, and has experience driving Class 2 vehicles. 8-week temporary booking with ASAP start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Experience driving Class 2 vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to maintain clean and safe public roads.
• Use hand tools (hoes, brooms) to loosen debris and clear blockages from suction box and machinery as needed.

Class 2 Sweeper Driver

Location: South of Cambridgeshire
Pay: £16.08 per hour (£31,036 per annum equivalent)
Hours: 05:45 - 14:15, including a 30-minute break
Contract: Temporary - 8-week booking initially
Start Date: ASAP

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire.

The role involves operating small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to maintain clean and safe public roads. Duties will also include using hand tools, such as hoes and brooms, to loosen debris and clearing blockages from the suction box and machinery when required.

The initial booking is for 8 weeks, with the potential for extension. An ASAP start is preferred to allow time to familiarise yourself with the routes, locations and team procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph cards.
• Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• A reliable, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake manual duties.
