Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in South of Cambridgeshire. You will operate small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to keep streets clean and safe.

Duties include using hand tools such as hoes and brooms to loosen debris and clearing blockages from the suction box and machinery. Valid Class 2 HGV licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph cards required; start ASAP for an initial 8-week booking.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph cards.
• Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• Reliable, hands-on approach and willing to undertake manual duties.

Responsibilities

Pay: £16.08 per hour (£31,036 per annum equivalent)
Hours: 05:45 – 14:15, including a 30-minute break
Contract: Temporary – 8-week booking initially

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire.

The role involves operating small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to maintain clean and safe public roads. Duties will also include using hand tools, such as hoes and brooms, to loosen debris and clearing blockages from the suction box and machinery when required.

The initial booking is for 8 weeks, with the potential for extension. An ASAP start is preferred to allow time to familiarise yourself with the routes, locations and team procedures.
