Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited in Llanelli is recruiting a Refuse/Recycling Driver on a 3-month contract with a local authority. You will operate Class 2 vehicles safely as part of a collection crew to deliver waste management services across the borough.

The role requires a Category C (Class 2) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, plus experience with large vehicles, road safety knowledge, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence and Driver CPC.
• Experience driving large vehicles, ideally refuse/recycling.
• Good understanding of road safety legislation and safe driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 refuse/recycling vehicles safely.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections.
• Complete scheduled refuse/recycling routes efficiently.
• Work with crew to meet service standards.
• Drive in accordance with road traffic laws and safety rules.
• Ensure proper loading within legal weight limits.
• Report incidents, missed collections, or issues promptly.
• Maintain records and complete required documentation.
• Provide courteous service to the public.
• Support flexible routing across routes when needed.
