Job summary

Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd in Gloucester is seeking a reliable Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste management team. This ongoing, five-day week role offers steady hours and competitive pay.

You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, complete daily checks, and ensure routes run on time while maintaining a courteous approach with the public and site staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 driving licence with Category C.
• Driver CPC / DQC qualification and tachograph card.
• No DR10 endorsements; max 6 penalty points.
• Experience in refuse or commercial driving preferred.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.

• Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
• Collect waste along designated routes, maintaining schedules
• Complete vehicle pre-checks and report any defects or maintenance issues

Job Title: Class 2 Refuse Drivers

Job Type: Ongoing - 5 days per week

Pay Rate: £16.62 - £18.63 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client's waste management team in Gloucester. This is a great opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers looking for steady, ongoing work with competitive pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
• Collect waste along designated routes, maintaining schedules
• Complete vehicle pre-checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
• Interact courteously with the public and site personnel where required
• Follow all Health & Safety and waste collection protocols

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Driver CPC / DQC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR10 endorsements)
• Previous refuse collection or commercial driving experience preferred
• Good physical fitness (some manual handling required)
• Positive, team-player attitude with strong communication skills
• Minimum 12 months HGV Driving experience

• Monday to Friday
• 6.45am-5.00pm
• 37hr week
