Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting Class 2 (Category C) HGV Drivers for a new client in Southampton. This is a great opportunity for reliable drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday work, early starts and early finishes, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Role involves driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on household waste routes, with start times between 5am-6am and 7.5-hour shifts. Newly qualified drivers welcome and parking is provided at the depot.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good physical fitness is essential.
• Reliable and safety-conscious attitude is required.
• Own transport to the depot is preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle.
• Perform household waste collections on designated routes.
• Manual loading of waste and safe operation of vehicle.
• Work as part of a friendly team and follow health and safety procedures.
