Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Class 2 Driver to perform multi‑drop deliveries across the South West, with emphasis on safety, punctuality and customer service.

You will load/unload using appropriate equipment, keep records up to date, and maintain vehicle standards while collaborating with hubs and distribution centres.

Start times are early and overtime is available; a DCPC/Digital Tachograph Card and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 2 Licence (C).
• DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Customer service excellence mindset is essential.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work flexibly.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑drop, palletised deliveries as a Class 2 Driver to business and residential addresses.
• Safely load/unload with equipment and secure loads to prevent damage.
• Coordinate with network hubs and distribution centres for smooth trunking.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Maintain communication with transport team on progress, delays or issues.
• Provide a professional service and act as a key contact for customers.
• Adhere to driving legislation, hours and HSE standards.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay compliant and up to date.
• Keep your vehicle clean, secure and professional in appearance.

About the Role

• Carry out multi-drop, palletised deliveries as a Class 2 Driver to both business and residential addresses across the South West, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in line with customer expectations.
• Safely load and unload your vehicle using appropriate equipment (e.g. pallet trucks), ensuring all loads are secured correctly to prevent damage in transit.
• Work closely with network hubs and distribution centres to ensure smooth collections, accurate trunking, and efficient onward deliveries.
• Complete thorough daily vehicle safety checks using your company device, reporting defects promptly to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing updates on delivery progress, delays, or issues to ensure excellent service levels.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service at all times, acting as a key point of contact for customers and representing the company positively.
• Adhere to all driving legislation, including Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations, as well as company policies and Health & Safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with compliance requirements and best driving practices.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness, security, and general upkeep of your assigned Class 2 vehicle, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
