Job summary

The Best Connection are currently seeking a Class 2 (Category C) Driver for our client, a leading independent Builders' Merchant, based at their Alnwick branch. This is a temporary ongoing position, however, there is possibility for the right candidate to become permanent if the role is a good fit.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:00, with an hourly rate of £16.50 and overtime paid at £24.75 per hour after 8 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 Licence (Category C).
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card up-to-date.
• Up to 6 penalty points (insurance).
• Experience in construction supply/merchant industry desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivering building materials and timber to trade and residential sites across the local area.
• Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks and maintaining records.
• Acting as a professional face of the company at the point of delivery.
