Job summary

The Best Connection (Newcastle) is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver for a long-standing client specialising in construction equipment. This role offers consistent work delivering and collecting plant equipment and form work across the North East.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00-08:00 starts, and £16.50 per hour. Valid UK Category C, HIAB certificate, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR HIAB certificate (remote or manual).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences; no DD, DR or IN endorsements.
• Good knowledge of North East roads.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle.
• Delivering and collecting non-mechanical plant and formwork equipment.
• Operating a HIAB crane using remote or manual controls.
• Securing loads and completing delivery paperwork.
• Following road safety and tachograph regulations.
