Job summary

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Hiab Drivers to work from a well-established operation based in Sherburn in Elmet.

You will be working on a Network Rail contract, delivering and collecting a wide range of materials and tools used across the railway network.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing work, with both a regular 4 on / 4 off rota and flexible ad-hoc shifts available. We can also accommodate many driver-requested rotas where possible.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Hiab certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting railway materials and tools.
• Working on the Network Rail contract.
• Operating a Class 2 vehicle with Hiab.
• Ad-hoc shifts available and flexibility in rosters.
• Ongoing work throughout the year.
• Ensure load security and vehicle checks.

Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off Rotating Days and Nights
Day Shift: 09:0020:30
Night Shift: 20:3008:00

The Role

• Delivering and collecting railway materials and tools
• Working on the Network Rail contract
• Operating a Class 2 vehicle with Hiab
• Working a 4 days on / 4 days off / 4 nights on / 4 nights off rota
• Day shifts: 09:0020:30
• Night shifts: 20:3008:00
• Ad-hoc shifts also available
• Additional shifts and overtime available
• Ongoing work throughout the year
• Flexible rotas can be accommodated where possible

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Hiab certification
• Recent Class 2 and Hiab driving experience preferred
• Must be aged 21 or over
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach
• Comfortable working both day and night shifts
• Good understanding of vehicle checks and load security
