Job summary

Certas Energy, the UK's largest independent distributor of fuel and lubricants, is hiring a Tanker Driver based in Newbury. You will operate tankers safely, conduct pre-trip checks, load and deliver products, and maintain accurate delivery tickets while upholding the company's Safety F1rst culture.

We value a proactive, customer-focused approach, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a depot team. A CPC, PDP, and relevant licences are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tanker and depot equipment in line with procedures and legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness.
• Load and discharge products safely, checking tickets against grade and volume.
• Verify customer details, location, product grade and required volume.
• Re-check ullage before dispensing and ensure correct amount delivered.
• Report spills, incidents, or safety issues using proper procedures.
• Deliver products on schedule and inform line manager of issues.
• Provide courteous, first-class customer service.
• Respond to customer queries and escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain a smart appearance and wear Certas Energy uniform and PPE.
