Job summary

BAKO Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed delivery driver to join our nationwide operations. You will be responsible for timely deliveries to customers’ premises, loading and unloading as required, and maintaining accurate POD records with the Route Planner team.

Keys: Class 2 HGV with CPC, knowledge of road networks, and a strong customer-focused approach. The role offers a 48-hour week, pension benefits, life cover, and a supportive driving environment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 HGV licence is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Be a good team player.
• Confidence, self-motivation, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers premises as per schedule.
• Carry out vehicle walkaround checks before using company vehicle.
• Check quantities delivered and update POD FATHER system; record discrepancies.
• Collect payments where applicable and manage cheques.
• Record daily returns and manage pallets and loads.
• Return vehicle keys and PPE to supervisors/warehouse.
• Download digital driver’s cards weekly.
• Record on-duty and rest periods on Digi card or manual entry.
• Monitor vehicle temperatures and logs; report defects.
