Job summary

BAKO Group Limited is seeking a Driver to deliver bakery products across the United Kingdom, following the pre-set schedule and ensuring accurate delivery and POD completion. You will inspect the vehicle, record returns, collect payments where applicable, and maintain safety and compliance with driver regulations in a busy distribution operation.

The role requires a Class 2 HGV licence, good knowledge of road networks, and a strong customer-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Class 2 HGV licence required.
• Confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Good knowledge of road networks and excellent customer relations.
• Be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a vehicle walkaround before use.
• Deliver as planned by Route Planner transport Supervisory Team.
• Check and confirm correct quantities with customer; record discrepancies.
• Responsible for collecting payments via chip and pin where applicable.
• Record daily returns and ensure POD/FATHER entries are accurate.
• Ensure vehicle is cleaned, refuelled and secured after use; log hours.
