Job summary

Adler and Allan (Plympton depot) is seeking a skilled Class 2 HGV Driver/Jetting Operative to join our team across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You’ll drive Class 2 vehicles, perform jetting tasks to clear sewer lines, and conduct vehicle checks, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Training is provided for high-pressure jetting and related equipment. Applicants with CPC, PTS, CSCS or NRSWA are encouraged to apply; site-based role with enhanced overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date CPC driver card required.
• Experience in high-pressure water jetting advantageous.
• PTS, NRSWA or CSCS are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive Class 2 HGV vehicles safely.
• Adhere to road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and checks.
• Utilise high-pressure jetting equipment to clear sewer/drainage lines.
• Operate specialist jetting machinery with precision.
• Assess blockages and apply jetting techniques to resolve issues.

HGV Operator
Plympton
Permanent, full-time

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Class 2 HGV Drivers/Jetting Operatives based out of our Plympton Depot to join our dynamic team working across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You’ll be working on a variety of small and large-diameter sewer cleaning projects, including culverts and outfalls.

More about the role:

• Operating and driving Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
• Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
• Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
• Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.

Qualifications

About you:

The ideal candidate will possess an up-to-date CPC driver card, and while experience in high-pressure water jetting or tankering would be advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.

Holding qualifications such as PTS (City & Guilds) Confined Space Entry, NRSWA (Street works), and a valid CSCS card would also be highly beneficial.
