Job summary

Grundon Waste Management Ltd in Bristol is seeking a dedicated HGV Driver (Class 2) to join our Operations team. You will safely deliver waste collection and disposal services across multiple sites, reporting to the Depot Operations Manager.

You will hold a valid LGV Class 2 licence with DQC and tachograph card, and show a proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong timekeeping and customer service. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV Class 2 licence with DQC and tachograph card.
• Experience with Ro-Ro, skips, FEL and waste wheeler vehicles is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reports.
• Comply with tachograph legislation and WTD, and follow SOPs and H&S rules.
• Report incidents, near misses and waste paperwork promptly.
• Maintain vehicles to a high standard including wheel torque checks.
• Provide excellent service to colleagues and customers with reliability and timekeeping.
• Be flexible with hours and occasional overtime as needed.
