Job summary

HSL in Nuneaton is seeking a Class 2 driver to operate a heavy goods vehicle for refuse and recycling collection, and to follow all safety procedures.

You will perform routine vehicle checks, carry out light maintenance, and ensure loads are delivered in line with company guidelines to protect colleagues and the public.

Hours are typically 6:30am start with about 7 hours per day, and pay is £13.90 per hour with overtime at £26.52 for 1 extra hour daily.

Qualifications

• To hold the relevant HGV licence.
• To hold a driving licence which is applicable in the UK. (MAX 6 POINTS)
• Aware of safe working practices.
• Able to undertake routine maintenance of motor vehicles and recognise faults with the vehicle needing referral to other services.
• Organised and able to plan out tasks to meet deadlines.

To drive a heavy goods vehicle normally undertaking refuse collection or recycling collection and follow the organisation’s procedures on the delivery of loads. Undertaking routine maintenance of the vehicle and taking reasonable care at all times for the safety and welfare of yourself and other persons.

Candidate Profile
