Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet and Flooring is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to support our busy warehouse, transporting stock to branches. You will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Great hours: 6am to 3:30pm / Monday to Friday, with one Saturday morning every six. You will join a friendly, supportive team with ongoing training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 HGV Licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Clean driving record
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks
• Excellent time management and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading/unloading to ensure safe practices
• Perform multi-drop deliveries to branches on schedule
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report issues
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
• Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed
• Report incidents promptly per procedures

Job description

Do you hold a valid Class 2 HGV Licence and looking for a new challenge?

Here at TradeChoice Carpet and Flooring we are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to support our busy warehouse helping to transport stock to our branches. You will be responsible for performing multi-drop deliveries safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Great hours: 6am to 3:30pm / Monday to Friday (1 Saturday morning in every 6 for just one hour)

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the loading and unloading of the HGV to ensure it is conducted correctly and safely.

- Conduct quality checks upon delivery and obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt.

- Maintain full compliance with tachograph legislation and relevant safety regulations.

- Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and free from preventable damage.

- Report any accidents or incidents immediately, following company procedures.

- Complete and submit daily vehicle inspection sheets to the Operations Manager.

- Take proactive responsibility for vehicle servicing, MOT scheduling, and inspections.

- Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed.

- Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.

- Valid Driver CPC

- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.

- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
