Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our busy distribution and warehouse team. You will ensure stock is delivered safely, on time and with excellent customer service.

Your role involves multi-drop deliveries, strict compliance with tachograph and road transport rules, and working closely with the warehouse team to keep goods moving across our network.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with clean driving record.
• Understanding of road transport regulations and tachographs.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical loading/unloading.
• Strong customer service mindset and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading vehicle and securing goods for transit.
• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries efficiently and professionally.
• Completing delivery checks and obtaining customer signatures.
• Adhering to tachograph, transport and health & safety regulations.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness and routine servicing.
• Reporting defects or incidents promptly and following procedures.
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and accurate documentation.
• Supporting warehouse operations and collaborating with the team.

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring is looking for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our busy distribution and warehouse team at our Glasgow branch. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our branches receive stock safely, efficiently, and on time, helping us deliver outstanding service to customers across the network.

What You’ll Be Doing

As one of our drivers, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of stock while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely loading and unloading your vehicle, ensuring all goods are secured correctly for transit.
• Completing multi-drop deliveries efficiently and professionally.
• Carrying out delivery checks and obtaining customer signatures upon receipt.
• Adhering to all tachograph, transport, and health & safety regulations.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
• Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents promptly and in line with company procedures.
• Completing daily vehicle inspections and submitting documentation accurately.
• Taking ownership of vehicle servicing, MOT schedules, and routine inspections.
• Supporting warehouse operations when required and working collaboratively with the wider team.
