Job summary

Driver Hire Luton is seeking experienced Class 2 HGV drivers to support clients across Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard. Various full-time and part-time shifts are available, with opportunities leading to permanent roles for the right candidate.

Typical PAYE rates include £17.00 day and £20.00 Sunday, with 8 hours guaranteed per day and a referral bonus. Join a leading local driving agency known for reliability and flexible assignments.

Qualifications

• Category C UK licence with CPC and Tachograph card.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 2 (HGV) driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive various shifts for clients across Luton, Dunstable & Leighton Buzzard.
• Ensure safe, legal, fuel-efficient driving and comply with tachograph rules.
• Attend site visits and adhere to client requirements and safety standards.

Job description

Driver Hire Luton are calling on all experienced Class 2 HGV / HGV2 / Class 2 / LGV / LGV2 drivers looking to work for a reputable agency who deal various clients within the Luton, Dunstable & Leighton Buzzard areas. Some of our clients within the industry include, multi-drop pallet networks, food and retail supply, healthcare, construction, refuse and plant and access. The types of vehicles you can be driving are box lorries/curtainsiders, flatbed lorries, refuse and skip lorries. We are looking for full time drivers as well as part time. For the right candidate some of our work can also lead to permanent positions.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver you must:

• Have a Category C on your full UK Drivers Licence
• Have a valid CPC Card
• Have a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 years experience driving Class 2 due to client insurance purposes
• Have no more than 6 points on your licence
• Have HGV Sat Nav
• Have Safety Boots & Hi Vis
• Have good knowledge of UK roads

The successful Class 2 Driver can expect:

• Various shifts available Monday to Friday Days: £17.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Monday to Friday Nights: £18.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Saturday £19.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Sunday / £20.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• 8hr minimum guaranteed pay per day
