Job summary

Driver Hire Luton is seeking experienced Class 2 HGV drivers to work with clients across Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard. Vehicles include box lorries, curtainsiders, flatbeds, refuse and skip lorries.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with some positions potentially leading to permanent work. Shifts vary; pay rates start at £17.00 per hour PAYE for days, rising to £20.00 on Sundays, with a referral bonus available.

Qualifications

• Category C on your full UK Drivers Licence
• Valid CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year experience driving Class 2 due to client insurance purposes
• Have no more than 6 points on your licence
• Have HGV Sat Nav
• Have Safety Boots & Hi Vis
• Good knowledge of UK roads

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 HGV vehicles for various clients in Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard areas
• Adhere to clients’ instructions and safety procedures
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic paperwork as required

Driver Hire Luton are calling on all experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers looking to work for a reputable agency who deal various clients within the Luton, Dunstable & Leighton Buzzard areas. Some of our clients within the industry include, multi-drop pallet networks, food and retail supply, healthcare, construction, refuse and plant and access. The types of vehicles you can be driving are box lorries/curtainsiders, flatbed lorries, refuse and skip lorries. We are looking for full time drivers as well as part time. For the right candidate some of our work can also lead to permanent positions.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver you must:

• Have a Category C on your full UK Drivers Licence
• Have a valid CPC Card
• Have a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 years experience driving Class 2 due to client insurance purposes
• Have no more than 6 points on your licence
• Have HGV Sat Nav
• Have Safety Boots & Hi Vis
• Have good knowledge of UK roads

The successful Class 2 Driver can expect:

• Various shifts available Monday to Friday Days: £17.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Monday to Friday Nights: £18.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Saturday £19.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
• Sunday / £20.00 PAYE inclusive of your holiday pay
