Job summary

Driver Hire is recruiting up to two Class 2 Drivers for flexible agency work across the UK. Roles involve 4–8 deliveries per day, safe handling, and on-site unloading by customers using forklifts. You will use an ePOD system and ensure loads are strapped and secured. A CPC and tachograph card are required, with prior Class 2 experience preferred.

Opportunity to secure ongoing or temp-to-perm positions and join our pool for regular holiday and sickness cover with a supportive recruitment team.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 Driver experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Comfortable using handheld devices and ePOD systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete 4–8 deliveries per day to commercial customers.
• Deliver goods safely and efficiently as a Class 2 Driver.
• Products are unloaded on site by the customer using a forklift.
• Use an ePOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) system to manage and complete deliveries.
• Strap and secure loads before and during transport.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Adhere to all transport legislation, compliance procedures, and health and safety standards.

Driver Hire is looking to recruit up to two Class 2 Drivers to join our team. These HGV Class 2 Driver roles are ideal for experienced Class 2 Drivers looking for flexible agency work, holiday and sickness cover, and the opportunity to secure ongoing or temp-to-perm positions.

We are building a pool of inducted Class 2 Drivers who are ready to work when required and support our client with additional driving cover.
