Job summary

Driver Hire Dundee is seeking Class 2 HGV drivers for a temporary ongoing day shift in Dundee. Duties include pallet deliveries, loading/unloading, and vehicle checks, with a 7:30am start and 8 hours guaranteed.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 2 licence, have prior Class 2 experience, and be comfortable with manual handling, pallet trucks and tail lifts. Ongoing work with regular hours and PAYE rates.

Job description

We're currently recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to work with our customer in Dundee. This is a temporary, ongoing day shift position, offering regular Monday to Friday work with 8 hours guaranteed per day.

The Role

Your main duties will include:

• Carrying out kerbside deliveries of pallets
• Using a pallet truck and tail lift to safely deliver goods
• Loading and unloading the vehicle
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork
• Following all company and road safety procedures

About You

We're looking for drivers who are:

• In possession of a valid Class 2 (C) licence
• Experienced in Class 2 driving
• Comfortable with manual handling and kerbside deliveries
• Confident using a pallet truck and tail lift
• Reliable, professional and punctual
• Safety-conscious with a good understanding of HGV regulations

What's on Offer?

• £16.25 per hour basic rate
• £19.61 per hour overtime rate after 8 hours
• Rates are PAYE and include holiday pay
