Qualifications

Pertemps have an exciting NEW opportunity for Class 2 drivers to work out of a National Distribution Centre situated in Tickhill. This role involves working on behalf of our client, a global leader in the logistics industry. Drivers will transport products to HMPS (Prison Sites) in various Northern regions or could be on food outlet deliveries. (MOSTLY prison delivery work, but flexibility for both types of work is required).

Duties Will Include

• 2-3 drops/collections a day maximum
• Predominantly pump truck and palletised deliveries to the tail lift and down
• Use of totes & dollies on various runs
• Adopting a safety-first approach to driving and load securing
• Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks
• Working hours can be between 10-12 hours; must be prepared to work up to 12 hours

Skills & Experience

• Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
• Supervising or assisting with loading and unloading goods
• Ensuring loads are safely secured
• Following traffic reports and adjusting routes as necessary
• Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
• Following security rules at prisons
• Manual work may be required, though the work is not strenuous

Driver Requirements

• Hold a Class C licence with at least 6 months of Class 2 driving experience or attend Pertemps driver assessment & training for insurance purposes
• Clean driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DDs, DRs, or IN10s

Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday days: £15.74 per hour, guaranteed 9 hours
• Overtime after 45 hours: £23.61 per hour
• Saturday: £23.61 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £29.59 per hour
