Pertemps has an exciting new opportunity for Class 2 drivers to work out of a National Distribution Centre in Tickhill. This role involves working on behalf of a client who specializes in the logistics industry and is a global leader in this field. Drivers will transport products to HMPS (Prison Sites) in various Northern regions or may be involved in food outlet deliveries. (Primarily prison delivery work, but flexibility for both types of work is required.)

Duties will include:

1. 2-3 drops/collections a day maximum
2. Predominantly pump truck and palletized deliveries to the tail lift
3. Use of totes and dollies on various runs
4. A safety-first approach to driving and load securing
5. Completing daily delivery paperwork and logbooks
6. Working hours between 10-12 hours, with a willingness to work up to 12 hours
7. Immediate starts available upon passing driving assessments, Monday to Friday (between 05:00-09:00), with occasional Saturdays. Flexibility on start times is essential.

Skills & Experience:

1. Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
2. Supervising or assisting with loading and unloading goods
3. Ensuring loads are safely secured
4. Following traffic reports and adjusting routes accordingly
5. Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
6. Adhering to security rules at prisons
7. This is not strenuous work but manual handling may be required

Driver Requirements:

1. Hold a Class C license with at least 6 months of Class 2 driving experience or attend a Pertemps driver assessment & training course for insurance purposes
2. Possess a driving license with no more than 6 penalty points and no endorsements such as DD, DR, or IN10

Pay Rates:

1. Monday to Friday days: £15.74 per hour (guaranteed 9 hours)
2. Overtime after 45 hours: £23.61 per hour
3. Saturday: £61
4. Sunday & Bank Holidays: £29.59 per hour
