Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting reliable Class 2 HGV Drivers to support a prestigious client in the Southampton area. This Monday to Friday role offers early finishes and no weekend work, with shifts starting around 5:00–6:00 am and 7.5 hours per shift.

You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle, perform light loading duties, and work as part of a small crew. Benefits include weekly pay, a £250 sign-up bonus after 10 shifts, on-site parking, and the potential to secure a permanent position

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and a valid Class 2 licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle safely and professionally.
• Carry out loading of waste bags into the vehicle.
• Deliver a reliable, efficient service with the crew.

About this Class 2 Driving Role:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am
• 7.5‑hour shifts with early finishes
• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) refuse vehicle safely and professionally
• Carry out manual duties, including loading waste bags into the vehicle
• Deliver a reliable, efficient service while working alongside the crew

What We're Looking For from you as a Class 2 Driver:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
• Good level of physical fitness and willingness to carry out manual work
