Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking Class 2 Drivers in Warwick for a temporary position. The role includes vehicle checks, handball duties, and may involve multi-drop deliveries. Ideal candidates will hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence and a valid CPC and Tachograph. Previous HGV experience is preferred but not essential. This is a full-time position offering a pay rate of £17.37 per hour, starting in September and running until Christmas.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks and any required defects paperwork.
• Perform handball and push trolleys.
• Complete multi-drop runs up to 10 per shift.

Class 2 Driver - Shifts and Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Start Times: 05:00 am
• min 10h guaranteed per shift

Class 2 Driver - Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday - £17.37 inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only)

GI Group are recruiting class 2 Drivers for a position with our clients based in Warwick. The ideal candidate will be placed with our well-established client. We have a prestigious company that has operated in the area for over many years. The class 2 Driver will be placed on a temporary 12 week period between Monday to Friday.

This role is commutable from: Daventry, Brackley, Banbury and the other surrounding areas.

Class 2 driver - The Role:

The class 2 driver position is due to start in September, running until Christmas. Handball is to be expected pushing trolleys and this position may include some multi-drop runs (Up to 10 per shift). This is a temporary transfer position and training will be provided on the job. The class 2 driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.

The perfect candidate:

• Will hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence
• Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
• Previous HGV work experience is preferred, but not essential
• Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
