Job summary

Berry Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Class 2 Refuse Driver to work in and around Matlock. The role runs Monday to Friday with early start hours and an hourly pay rate of £19.73.

Responsibilities include daily refuse/recycling collections, safe operation of machinery, real-time paperwork, and daily vehicle inspections. Successful candidates will have a Class 2 licence with CPC, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to undertake tasks independently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to daily job duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily on assigned routes.
• Operate all machinery aspects of the job safely and efficiently.
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle and machinery cleanliness.
• Provide excellent customer and client relations.
• Assist refuse loaders to ensure routes are completed within SLA.

Salary: GBP19.73 - GBP19.73 per hour

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Class 2 Refuse Drivers inand around Matlock.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
• Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate toarticles left for removal
• Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement

What you’ll need to succeed
