Job summary

GI Group is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for a Coventry-based client on a temporary contract with potential for permanent placement. The role involves trunking deliveries, typically 2 runs with 5–8 drops per shift, and involves unloading by FLT at delivery points.

You will perform pre- and post-trip checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate holds a Class 2/LGV C licence, CPC, Tachograph, and has at least 2 years of Class 2 experience.

Qualifications

• Hold Class 2/LGV C licence entitlement.
• Valid CPC and Tachograph.
• Minimum 2 years Class 2 experience.
• Over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Trunking delivery work with packaging distribution; typically 2 runs and 5–8 drops per shift.
• Unloading at delivery points is done by FLT; no handball duties.
• Carry out vehicle checks, ensure safe loading, and complete defects paperwork.
• Adhere to driving regulations and maintain safe operations.
