Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Good knowledge of safe driving practices and road safety.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional manner.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• The ability to work to delivery schedules and deadlines.
• A willingness to undertake physical work and manual handling.
• A reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers within an allocated area safely and professionally.
• Care for and maintain your vehicle and ensure deliveries are accurate and secure.
• Complete delivery documentation and return records accurately.
• Handle any required payment collection.
• Fulfil customer-specific delivery requests in accordance with delivery instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding customer premises and security arrangements.
• Review delivery schedules and plan routes to meet deadlines.
• Communicate stock shortages or issues to customers as needed.
• Return empty containers and gas bottles safely.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and legal requirements.
• Assist with warehouse duties as required.
